The TCU Counseling Center provides short-term counseling to any one enrolled at TCU. They  specialize in college student mental health, including adjustment issues, relationship concerns, stress, depression, anxiety, and eating disorder assessment. Due to the time-limited nature of their services, they may refer students to eating disorder professionals in the Forth Worth area, and they work with students and their families to find the most appropriate level of care.

• Eat all meals as a group and have 30-minute sit times after each meal with a professional trained in eating disorders;
• Attend eating disorder-specific educational groups, such as relapse prevention, body image, dialectical behavior therapy skills training and nutrition education; and
• Plan meals with a dietitian.

The services will only be available for adult patients, all of whom will receive a comprehensive evaluation once identified as needing eating disorder support.

Designed for young women with moderate to severe emotional, social, and/or behavioral issues that could prevent a safe transition to independence. Some common issues include dual diagnosis, personality disorders, bipolar, post-traumatic stress, addiction, severe depression and anxiety, and poor body image. Many students have histories of multiple failed placements and, along with their families, are desperate for a solution that will finally work.

EDCASA opened in 2007.  The multi-disciplinary staff brings expertise in treating many co-morbid conditions, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and ADHD.  Six outpatient groups are available at a lower cost:  Binge-Eating Disorder DBT Group, Adolescent Military Dependent IOP Group, Bariatric Surgery DBT Group, College age DBT Group, Maudsley Groups and Advanced DBT Group.

Springwood can also co-treat with depression, anxiety, OCD and substance abuse.

The Sanctuary is a 14 day outpatient program that is faith and biblically based.  We have a registered dietitian, a Christian counselor, family sessions, Bible study, and supportive after care (including a video after care message) for client and family, with continual follow up for one year.  While we agree and implement traditional techniques of therapy, we also believe that the chief component for healing is spiritual.  What distinguishes our program from others is our emphasis on biblical principles for lasting healing.

Formerly of the Renfrew Center Florida, Jennifer Pereira has worked with a full spectrum of eating disorder and disordered eating clients.  Previous experience also includes extensive work with Gastric Bypass and Lap Banding patients.  She brings her experience to the DFW area, promoting eating concepts, which encourage clients to discover a more normalized relationship with food.  Nutrition counseling is focused around a person's unique needs and preferences, providing support and guidance throughout the process of healing.

Stacie McKenna-Crochet is also an Advanced Addiction Counselor and a certified cognitive-behavioral counselor.

Laura has been treating eating disorders since 2005.  She gained her clinical experience in treating eating disorders at the Renfrew Center in PA.  At Renfrew she was an admissions coordinator and therapist.  She feels very comfortable with assessing a client's needs and recommending treatment options, such as referrals to nutritionists and higher levels of care.  Laura takes a humanistic approach to therapy recognizing that clients have their own unique set of experiences.  She encourages clients to develop intuitiveness, support, daily structure and coping skills.

Stephanie is an LPC-Intern specializing in a cognitive behavioral approach that is based on holistic healing.  Stephanie has extensive experience working with women (adolescents to adults).  Stephanie is focused on making it easier for women to handle the pressures faced today and finding creative ways to help her clients.  Stephanie also specializes in finding therapeutic treatment interventions that best meet her client's needs and aid in their recovery.

Susan McGraw is also well-versed in the treatment of mental and emotional problems including anxiety disorder, depression, bipolar, recovery from trauma and life changes.

Dr. Moore began treating eating disorders in 2004.  Her clinical approach varies to meet the needs of the individual client.  She has had graduate and post-doctoral internships working specifically with adolescents and their families who are impacted by eating disorders, and has extensive experience in individual, group, and family therapy with this population.  She believes that each client is unique, and that full recovery is possible, and most often achieved with a collaborative approach between client and therapist, and amongst treatment providers.   Recently, she has partnered with Uptown Yoga Studios to create a treatmnet approach that encompasses holistic nutrition, specialized yoga practice for body awareness and acceptance, as well as group and individual therapy.

I have garnered a unique expertise in the field of eating disorders, working in two of the nation:'s leading treatment facilities- The Renfrew Center and the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders at Children's Medical Center.  I work with each client to identify the underlying funtion of the eating disorder and her available strengths.  I help patients explore personality features and external factors that perpetuate their disease, and work to make sustainable change.

Treatment Model:   I believe eating disorders are caused by multiple issues, so the treatment should reflect the individual's  unique issues.  I routinely refer to an experience dietician and aks the client to provide information form their care provider that they are physically safe.    Some clients can benefit from psychiatric medications.  Over my 20 years of specializing in ED'S, I have created unique cognitive behavioral interventions that address the underlying issues as well as individual and group therapies. I  encourage participation in community anonymous meetings  I recenlty completed training with Thom Rutledge, coauthor of "Life Without Ed".  His approach (and mine) is caring, targets the ED voice in your head, and challenges you to take responsbility for change.  As you heal mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physcially, you are then free to offer hope to healing to others!

As Director of the Eating Disorders Program at the Community Institute of Psychotherapy I advocate a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach that encourages body, mind and spiritual health. La Luna Center has been treating eating disorders for 6 years and their treatment team includes a psychologist, counselor, and dietician. In addition to treating eating disorders, the facility treats co-existing conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use/Abuse, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. There is an aftercare program for individuals stepping down in care that meets for an hour and a half once a week and is $50. There are also a 30+ and a 20 "something" group that also meet weekly for an hour and a half for $50. Cost: Outpatient Treatment = $40-$135 per hour/ Intensive Outpatient = $150-300 per day. Milestones follows a 'blended' approach to treatment - addressing both the 'addictive' and emotional aspects of an eating disorder. Treatment for each client is highly individualized.  We start with a $40 session we call a 'Getting to know you ' session to insure a good fit with our counselors.  We then work along side the client to determine a plan which may include individual, family or group counseling.  We also offer workshops to support what our clients are working on, for example:  family support, art therapy, relationship focus.

McCallum Place was founded in 2002 by Kimberli McCallum, MD, who has more than 25 years of experience treating eating disorders.  McCallum Place provides comprehensive medical and psychiatric care, specialized, evidence-based psychotherapies, and individualized nutritional support in a real-life setting.  In all of the programs, patients have opportunities for weekly cooking, food preparation and portioning classes, and supported meals at area restaurants with experience dietitians and staff.  They offer an environment of structure and support, helping individuals build the confidence and skills necessary to let go of their patterns of restrictive eating, purging and compulsive exercise.

Webster Wellness Professionals opened in May 2010 and was founded by Kimberli McCallum, MD, who has more than 25 years of experience treating eating disorders.  Director Randall C. Flanery, PhD, also has more than 25 years of experience treating eating disorders.  They offer evidence-based assessment and treatment of eating disorders through multidisciplinary services.  Their eating disorder treatment and weight control services include both individual and family focused treatment methods.  They emphasize a treatment philosophy which is focused on helping their patients achieve complete wellness with positive health and well-being.  Webster Wellness Professionals is an effective outpatient treatment clinic for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, medically severe obesity, and muscle dysmorphia.
